King Charles room – 60 guests (Originally
named the State bedchamber)
Situated
on the southwest corner of the wing, this room
was used by Charles I when he stayed at
Clifton Hall in 1632. The Ceiling contains the
monogram of Sir William Clifton surrounded by
salubrious garlands of flowers, fruit and
foliage reflective of the style and spirit of
the period.
This room leads from a circular staircase up to
the first floor. This is a truly spacious and
magnificent room with oak panelling, open
fire and windows to the front and rear of the
residence.
Octagon Hall - 40 guests
Probably the most spectacular of the rooms at
Clifton Hall, situated on the ground floor it
was constructed in the well of the former
watchtower hence the shape. Finely proportioned
with a resplendent domed ceiling, niches around
the room contain plasterwork friezes of the
Roman gods Diana, Neptune, Bacchus and Apollo.

The ceiling hall stands 70ft tall and is
decorated with intricate artwork and coupled
with fantastic acoustics. This room makes a
excellent venue for any special occasion.
Bridal Suite
The bridal suite is an additional room suitable
for the bridal party to prepare for the day.
Providing a lounge area with comfortable sofa’s
and views over the ground and river to the rear.

The en-suite has a free standing bath
with shower and dual sinks suitable for hair and
makeup.
Page's Hall
So called because this was traditionally where
the pages awaited a summons from the adjacent
Great Chamber. It contains some fine decorative
details from the first half of the 17th Century
and a fine Jacobean doorway.
This room can be used for signing of the
register or meeting with the registrar prior to
the ceremony.
Grounds & Gardens
Clifton
Hall sits in nine acres of delightful landscaped
gardens with historical fountains and statuary.
